Exhibition On Screen: Michelangelo Love And Death 2017
Plot Synopsis
Michelangelo, alongside Leonardo da Vinci and Raphael, formed the traditional trinity of great masters of the High Renaissance. Long considered one of the greatest art works ever produced, "David" breathed life into the art of sculpting. Featuring nine scenes from the Book of Genesis, the painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel features one of art history's most iconic images with "The Creation of Adam". Michelangelo Love And Death examines the inspirations that informed the works of the legendary artist. The filmmakers traveled across Italy, visiting St. Peter's Basilica, the Sistine Chapel, the Basilica di Santo Spirito and the Galleria dell'Accademia di Firenze to capture Michelangelo's masterpieces "David", "The Creation of Adam", "Pietà", "The Last Judgment" and many more, in breathtaking high-definition.
